Remember Polly Esther's?
Friday, 2 April 2004 17:46Well, it's now called Sky. My brother-in-law and a couple of his friends took over the place and have been fixing it up to suit their needs.
I mention it because I'll be there tonight (4.2.04) for the GROW Swing Benefit at 8. Somehow I got knocked off the eVite that the co-chair sent to me, but it promises a hip swing band, a burlesque show, and a buffet for the low- low- price of $15. I get to work the coat check from 11-2.
GROW is Giving Real Options for Women, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing rehabilitation, work, and other resources to domestic violence survivors. Tonight's Swing Benefit is their first really big fundraiser.
It's being held at the old Polly Esther's, which is now so elegantly called Sky.
