Today was my last day on the job. Actually, it was everybody's last day on the job -- the project had a hard deadline of today and refused to give any wiggle room. To celebrate, there were snacks, beers, and conversation. The Trygstads are good people to work for. Very nice, very easygoing people.
The next time I "go to work" will be with the startup that is looking to bring me on. I talked to the woman I'll be replacing today and got along very well with her, so once the paperwork is figured out, I'm in. I should probably find out if I should be somewhere on Monday, though.
Grady did not eat yesterday's serving of gushyfood, so I'm not giving him any tonight. I should just make a habit of checking to see if he's eaten his dinner before I go to bed. I hate wasting the wet food. It's prescription and expensive.
That's pretty much it. I have a show tomorrow night at Roy's Place in Lynnwood. I actually had someone make a face at me when I told them where the gig was. You'd think I'd told them it was in Yakima. "We don't want to go to a show in Lynnwood. Why can't you play somewhere closer to home?" Lady, that IS closer to home. If my next gig is in Kirkland on a Monday, you'd better fucking BE there. geez... they pester and pester for gig dates and then make up a reason not to go. people are weird.
