fatrockstarThe anti-discrimination bill that was voted on today in Olympia was to include gays in its list of protected minorities. It lost by one vote. The conservative Democrat from Kirkland (I think, maybe I should re-read the article) that voted for it in the early 90's voted against it this time around. His arguments were "hey, that was 12 years ago" and "I think homosexuality is wrong."
I gather that one of the reasons this bill was shot down is because if it were passed it would benefit the movement to allow gay marriage. I'm all for gay marriage. Equal suffering for every adult out there. Once in my lifetime I would like to sit down with a man and bitch about our husbands. Maybe I'd get some insight.
