Friday, 1 April 2005 16:23We're gonna go meet Grady today! Grady Grady Grady! I'm excited and petrified. I hope he doesn't hate us. Something tells me it won't be necessary to change his name. Maybe Garret will want to, I don't know.
KITTY! >*.*<
It'll be another month before we can take him home, but we still want to meet him. It's important. By the time we finally adopt him, he will have been in foster care for a whole year.
It's been so long since I've been a cat owner. Hopefully having just one is different than having, oh... five. I don't need a bunch of 'em getting together and telling each other they're cats and should crap on the sofa until they get tuna.

2/4/05 02:03 (UTC)He's been in foster care for so long because he doesn't get along with other animals -- that makes it hard for them to take him along on the WoW bus or to adoptathons. And he's a bit of eccentric with the litter in his box. I think we can handle that.

2/4/05 18:05 (UTC)I CAN'T HELP IT! THEY JUST KEEP FINDING ME!!! Luckily they don't crap on the sofas and I don't even have to give them tuna. Last night though, they did somehow get hold of a bat (still don't know how it even got in the house) which scared my big burly husband and made him call me so I could come home and get it out of the house. He said it was mostly dead when he called me, having put an upside down garbage can over it and run away screaming. I took it outside and lifted the can and the bat sneered at me a few times, flapped around weirdly on the ground for a second, and then flew directly at my head, over it, and down the street. Tangent.
GRADY!

2/4/05 21:51 (UTC)The last time I "owned" cats it was at my mother's home in Alabama. There were never less than four cats in that house, and boy did you know it when you walked in. My dad always said that if you have more than one cat, they get together and tell each other they're cats, and then you have no control over them anymore.
That, and I was motivated by a photo in Bad Cats that had two kittens conspiring to crap on the carpet until they got tuna.
