My latest effort

I'm not sure what I was thinking with this one. A few minor details will need to be taken care of before listing, but I do like the design. The gem is glass, like the kind you'd put in a decorative vase.

I'm thinking I should stop trying to make pretty things and just do costume pieces. Oh, and it would probably be a good thing to get off my butt and schedulr a craft night already. I know, "promises, promises..."

Would the pin part be vertical or horizontal? Since you suggested it, I think I will offer this as a pin instead of a pendant. I'm not entirely certain what direction the pin would be in, though.

I think the pin should be horizontal and above the midline of the piece. You want a little more weight below the pin to help keep the pin in position when holding a cloak or cape. It is a lovely piece. When I am working again I will see if you are selling them.

I don't think this one is large enough to make a suitable cloak pin, but we'll see (in the pic above it is sitting on a 3.5" x 5" index card). I just bought some larger "gems" and will attempt to make a bigger version and see what happens.
