Sorry about that, cat

Last night I did two things that proved to be really bad ideas:
1. I forgot to add the anti-nausea meds to Grady's dinner, and
2. I closed off Ethan's room in an effort to get Grady to start sleeping in my room again.
The combination of these two things caused a bit of an anxiety attack in him, and he ended up vomiting at 4 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. Luckily, there was not much to hoark, because he had last eaten around 7 the previous evening. Later this morning, after I dragged him out from under the bed and coaxed him to drink some water, he ended up vomiting up that water in Ethan's room. So much for keeping it clean. At least it was just water (and not, say, water and bile).
Today Grady returns to his regular vet in Bellevue for some bloodwork followup. This is to determine if the problems that started this episode are actually fatty liver disease or if this was a temporary fatty liver problem due to his anorexia.
The good news is he's not gagging at his dry food anymore. He also sat still for his dressing change and morning feeding. If he continues to refuse wet food, I'm not sure how I'm going to get his medicine into him after the tube comes out. He's improved this much, maybe he'll get over that eventually.
