There's going to be a rummage sale here at the Villa on March 20. The last one I attended, I sold a bicycle I never used and not much else. Walking away with $40 isn't that bad for a rummage sale, but it kind of soured me on the whole idea.

Then I started watching Clean Sweep. Heartbreaking as the show is, there is a happy ending to each episode. I took some inspiration from that show and Flylady and decided that maybe this year I will have something interesting and profitable to bring to this year's rummage bonanza.

Unfortunately, the only obstacle I have is Garret. "What if you need that again someday? Don't throw that out!" Well, honeypunkin, I bought it, discovered it wasn't what I really wanted and then stuck it in the closet. I did kind of need it again later, but it was still not what I really wanted so now it's going to sit in the closet again. I'm getting rid of it. He thinks I'm being unreasonable by throwing out so much. I think I'm freeing up space. I've bought two different steam/humidifier thingys and neither one of them are what I want -- out they go!

but I digress (again).

Going through a box of books, VHS tapes, and CDs I found an old workout journal from 2001. I started it in February 2001 when I weighed 223lbs. On the front page I had printed out a three-paneled "before" photo and stuck it there. I can't remember if it was to motivate me or check my progress, but it was really, really awful.

I showed it to Garret and he was all "so?" I smacked him. "What? You obviously don't look like that anymore, what do you want me to say?" Good save. So this afternoon I'm going to take another picture of myself in similar clothing and poses and compare them. Maybe then I'll be inspired.

As for everything else, I'll just have to wing it.
