Salt in your eye
Thursday, 12 March 2009 16:52Jezebel's banhammer has come down again, this time over a comment about Angelina Jolie looking old. If you look at the picture the comment is about, the first reader response is saying pretty much the same thing but without that nasty word "old."
I'm beginning to think the comment moderators over at Jezebel/Gawker are feeling the pressure of this crappy economy and uncertain job security. Why else would someone be banned so quickly over such a simple sentence?
Apparently it's only free speech if you agree with everybody. If you say something that inspires any kind of excited discussion, that's a punishable offense. Whatever happened to "don't feed the trolls?" Over at Jezebel, it's not their policy. You're there to have a tea party, and if you burp, you're banned.
