Struggled with chains, struggled with snow, went to work, discovered my hard drive died, remembered that Outlook on the laptop is in a big fail loop, headed for home, missed one bus and the next two scheduled buses didn't show, the third one was almost full, I got sat on by a large Indian woman hollering on her cel phone, my final bus was 20 minutes late, the driver hit every damn bump and rough spot on the way, and after walking for god knows how long in the snow, I waited until I was in my driveway to bite it.

Hot shower, cold milk, Tylenol, television. I'm not going anywhere for a while.

Curious - what's wrong with Outlook on your laptop?

Sorry to hear you had a bad day (and I was a bit worried when I didn't see you online at work). =( Hopefully today and tomorrow will be quieter and the days will let you rest and recharge.

It's a corrupt/damaged .ost file. Closer to the truth is that the .ost file Outlook is looking for doesn't exist, because I've looked for it. Uninstalling/reinstalling doesn't work. I will have to revisit the issue on Friday -- I've tried many different things, and now it's in helpdesk's hands.

Thanks for the merry merry -- and don't worry about laughing. If my rants had no humor in them they'd be no fun to read. Besides, I inherited the inability to not be cute while angry from my mother... if you didn't at least chuckle, my genetic legacy has failed.
