fatrockstarI think I'm doing a fine job of skipping them. No tree, no music, no lights, no presents, no plans, and the weather is working in my favor. The only obstacle is convincing my dad this is a good thing. For some reason he enjoys Christmas, yet I hate it. It's full of guilt and inadequacy for me. Christmas has and always will be a children's holiday.
And yeah, I'm fine. If my neighbors want to light up the street or put inflatable Nascar snowmen in their yard, that's great. I'm not a Scrooge, I'm just not participating this year. I think after all the shit I've weathered I deserve to be allowed to skip it.
