I can hardly think with all the pain in my back. The Tylenol I took over an hour and a half ago is just now kicking in, taking the edge off the worst of it. I find myself on edge more than usual because of it, snapping at people online or in my imagination. It was an ordeal to get into my car this morning. I'm surprised I'm wearing socks. Or pants. If my ability to function worsens I will leave work early.

I can't remember the last time I was in this much pain. My reassuring thought is that it won't last forever. Eventually it will pass or be treated, and I will be okay again.

Thanksgiving is not happening at my house this year. Not enough interest. I will be taking my 10lbs of mashed potatoes over to a friend's house, along with some green bean casserole. They have promised me cranberry sauce from a can, complete with can-shape, and at least three single men to talk to. Allison may or may not join me.

I now have my insurance card. Yay!

I recommend massage - and you can call me about it if you like.

Loves.

I probably should have thought of that while the pain was still threatening. Right now everything is so sore and tender touching it might make it hurt more!

It might, it may also hurt but feel better after. Depends on where you are and what you've done.

I have monster issues with mine so I can totally understand the back pain and sympathize. I could have used 10lbs of mashed potatoes at Thanksgiving, I'll have to keep that in mind for next year.

2lbs of those potatoes were lost by peeling them -- I made up for it in sour cream, garlic, and butter. Mmmm, butter...
