Grady is a little woozy, but he's home. They sedated him, took blood, hydrated him, and then gave him back to me. There was a little bit of panic when a vet tech told me the fate of the wrong animal, but that was quickly corrected. Now he has a spot on his back that is wet all the time, and that's probably where they gave him subcutaneous fluids. Yeah, my cat is leaking.

He ate some kibble and some wet food. He's feeling much better. I now have to give him Pepcid twice a day to keep his stomach calm. It could have been worse. I'm counting my blessings.

I had wondered if it was something ulcer/acid reflux-ish.

Glad he's home and is doing better. Let's hope this solves the problem!

I feel bad for not seeing this until now, but am glad Grady is doing ok and is back home now. Did they figure out why he was sick?

You know, they never do, and he's been to the vet at least three times for this. There's a trigger, and I am not entirely sure what it is. It could be psychological. This time around I'm giving him Prevacid once a day and hoping that helps.

Poor little feller! With 6 cats in the house I see vomit pretty often (unless a dog gets to it first) but none of them go on hunger strikes so I don't really worry. I attribute it to food changes and the fact that they go outside and nibble on grass and leaves and things.

Is he sensitive to changes in your routine, maybe?

Is he such a mama's boy that he literally can't stomach you being away?

You're so good to him! I hope the Prevacid helps!
