I'm not entirely sold on the twitter-tweety thing. It's everywhere...

I think you might be into it, since you like making those short lil mobile posts... it's fun to be able to post whatever you want whenever it pops into your head. Plus I'M on there, so there ya go.

If Txt-LJ wasn't limited to 160 characters, I'd probably post much longer entries that way! I'm still trying to figure out how to post longer from my mobile, since it's a little more flexible than sitting at my desk all day.

I don't use it, but am not sure I like the results of people using it. We get these little blurps, and then they don't post anything else, and it's just ugly on the screen.

I'm pretty sure I don't like it, but I suppose some news is better than none.

There may be a happy medium in there somewhere, but I haven't seen it. This is especially apparent on communities' friends pages -- entry after entry of play-by-play, and not all of it interesting to me.

Like misshellion said, though, it might be a decent substitute for the txt-lj posts. I'm not sure that's what I want. I'd post longer entries from my mobile if it let me.

Yeah. I'm not real into it either.

My f-list is at about 50% of twitter usage now. I wasn't concerned about it before.

Me neither!

And that new thing on Myspace - that "buy your friends thing"
is the latest annoying thing right now for me. What, is Myspace becoming Facebook or something now?

I don't know, but I've already deleted two comments from MySpace because of it -- my page doesn't display HTML in comments, so it just looks like crap.

You can block that application- just go to the section on the left under the control panel where it says "Applications" chose the "don't share any data" button to keep them from requesting you to play along.

I often don't find or have the time to post on LJ, so I figure twitter is better then nothing.

I have Loudtwitter set to post at midnight, so that it scrolls off my freind's pages quickly in the mornings.

I'm not sure I'll do it long term. I'm just trying it out.

What do you think of it so far? Perhaps twitter is best for a specific blogging style?

I have twitter but hardly ever update on it and I'm not 100% sure of its purpose.

I'm using it like [livejournal.com profile] mischief_wa -- and trying to make sure i keep up with "real" posts as well.

I'm also just trying it out -- not sure whether I like it yet or not either :>.

Are you getting any feedback on what you post through twitter?

Not much in comments yet -- but it's a new thing -- that's part of what I'm looking at. OTOH, I get comments only about 2/3 of the time on normal posts anyway ;>.

I must be living in the Dark Ages, because I have no idea what Twitter is. I think someone else on my f-list uses it though.

And I HATE those MySpaz 'I bought you as my pet' things. How annoying! It's the one reason I'm not keeping up with Facebook anymore. I'll stick with my LJ thankyouverymuch.
