Bad dog owner!
Friday, 16 May 2008 10:47Yes, yet another one.
All my windows are open to cool off the house as much as possible before things get hot this afternoon. Not long after I did this I heard the distressed cries of a dog coming from the front of the house. It went on for a couple of minutes and then got louder. I then went to the door and opened it in time to see this little dog, maybe a shi tzu or other mop-like dog, jump out of the huge gap its owner had left in her passenger-side window and hang itself from its leash.
The dog is fine. It had been crying long enough that the owner was able to respond before it choked.
What the fucking hell, people? The whole vignette had "moron" written all over it. Who leaves their car window open wide enough for their dog to jump through? It's not like she was inside or anything -- given the time the crying went on it would be easy to assume it started as soon as she got out of the car.
Her solution (because god knows she wasn't done snooping around my neighbor's front door yet) was to remove the leash and roll up the window. Brilliant!
