Eating challenge

Recently a combination of excessive stress and re-introducing sleep with Grady I had something that has been identified to me as a "TMJ flareup." I've encountered this sort of thing before but didn't call it a flareup. It was just "that sucky thing that keeps my mouth from closing properly." Well, now I know better.
It's been going on since Friday and made it very difficult to chew anything very well. I've been getting by, but the dinner with brown rice came back to haunt me. I really really should have chewed that a little better. Ugh.
So last night I got the bright idea to put some heat on it before I went to bed -- and it worked! I could put my teeth together 95% correctly. Any closer and I'd get pain.
Of course, last night Grady was being a lunatic and decided to play catapult from my backside a couple of times so I had to kick him out. This probably contributed to my lack of stressful sleep. When he's there he has a tendency to pin me down by sleeping between my legs. I'm sure it's warm there, buddy, but i can't keep you there too long.
But hey, today was the first time I've actually been able to eat without pain or swallowing my food nearly-whole. Yay me!
