Audited!

I'm being audited by the unemployment office for the week of December 16. I'm covered, but the whole thing irritates the crap out of me. That is the week we had the humongous windstorm that knocked out power in the city for days. I was incredibly fortunate to execute the minimum job requirements that week. Worst case scenario is that I have to give back my dole check for that week, but it's still money, and I really don't like the idea of parting with it. I'm a Scrooge McDuck in that sense.

I'm also still working on this cold. It sucks. I sneeze all the damn time and with each sneeze my throat gets worse. At least I'm not goopy. Just porous and dry and achy. I missed the wedding expo this weekend because of it, and I was really hoping to pass out some flyers of my claywork there. This just means more work when I'm feeling better, but still. I would have rather spent this week more productively than recovering from my vacation.

Poor Grady -- every time someone sneezes he reacts. If he's not saying "mew?" for each one he's running as fast as he can in the other direction.

My week is packed. Hearing test on Monday, doctor on Tuesday, audit on Wednesday, and head shrinking on Thursday. AAAAAAAND we're supposed to have SNOW on Wednesday! I hope I can reschedule that audit. It takes an hour to get to the unemployment office in the morning on a good day, and if it snows all bets are off.

Those are great! I think I might have to start hating you - your voice is amazing AND you are a gifted artist. 2 of the main skills that I have always wanted but simply do not have. Oh well, I'll live ;)
