fatrockstarYesterday was our 4th anniversary. We went to a nice restaurant in the U-Village, only to find that an hour earlier some dipshit in a van ran into a precariously-fixed utility pole and took out the entire shopping mall there. Everyone from the shopping mall descended on our carefully chosen location. Normally this is a nice, quiet steak & wine joint, but this unfortunate event made it rather noisy. It was a good dinner anyway, and Garret and I had a lovely conversation.
At home I discovered I pulled something in my neck. My neck/trap area has been tense for over a week, but not like this. I couldn't lift my right arm without pain, and it spasmed occasionally. Wrapping gifts was slow and painful so I gave up. "Wedding Crashers" took my mind off it for a while.
Healthy sleep eludes me. I procrastinate going to bed, when I do I sleep hard, and my alarm clock no longer wakes me up in the morning. Grady is much more successful at waking Garret up than he is getting me out of bed (because I'll just grab the cat and snorgle him like a stuffed animal, so he doesn't try so much anymore). Today I didn't become fully awake until 12:59 p.m. I was upset.
Remember that windstorm over the weekend? Well, I had to weather my @#!! UTI through that. I drank so much cranberry juice I don't think I'll ever drink more in my lifetime, and power to my doctor's office didn't return until Tuesday night. I'm on Cipro now, which is helping a lot more than my home remedy, but damn. The doctor said if I hadn't been so vigorously drinking fluids and cranberry the infection would have moved to my kidneys, which is a worse course of antibiotics. I kinda already knew this but wasn't sure how effective my efforts would be. Good thing my instincts were right.
My neck/trap pain is making typing and mousework rather difficult, so I'm probably not going to update for a bit. I have a cute picture I want to share with you and will do my best to let the Tylenol sink in before posting it.
