Oh, little Kupo...

While Garret and I were at dinner he revealed to me (through much prodding, I'll admit) that he did miss Kupo. He did say he never denied me wanting to adopt the little guy himself, which is true, he never said we couldn't keep him, just that he was concerned about Grady's reaction.
Sadly, I got a voice mail while we were eating. The shelter called to let us know that little Kupo was adopted that evening by a couple and their two kids who thought he was just the sweetest thing ever. They had adopted another cat to this family last month and were confident Kupo would live a long happy life with them, as they are regular donors to the shelter.
I was a little sad, and so was Garret. I think that after our dinner conversation we had decided to go retrieve little Kupo in the morning. It's a good thing that he found a family so quickly, though. No kitty needs to stay in a cage by himself at a shelter.
Thus ends the Kupo chapter of this story. It's a happy ending.
