Eat rant #1, eat rant #2, blow up -- success! I should really just not let things like this irritate me, but damn.
My original post was about having to take down my Christmas tree because my fucking cat won't stop fucking chewing on the branches. This isn't a real tree -- it's fake -- so he's inexplicably drawn to its plasticky scent. He chews, he vomits, he chews, he vomits -- I thought we fixed this vomit problem by moving. Honestly, I just want to chuck him out the fucking window. Instead, because he's a cat, we're taking down our Christmas tree. We thought we'd save ourselves some time by putting up the fake one instead of going through the mandatory ritual that comes with getting a real one, but no. Grady'd probably chew on and barf that one up, too.
Are you going on The Rock Boat? I can't believe I just found out that there was such a thing. I don't think Bball (that's hubby) and I can pull it together for January this year - but we may try for next year...
What is your affiliation with BTE? I know you speak for them in one of the communities, but you are in Seattle? I was curious. I love BTE more than any other band... I always have. Lately I've been listening to a whole lot of HDYGG on repeat! :) Love it.
I won't be able to make it to The Rock Boat, even though I've known about it for months -- our new house and all its necessities have not made it possible. I wasn't aware that it was annual... that might be a go for next year!
My affiliation is similar to yours -- I've met them a handful of times and they're like the boys in my family that I grew up with (I grew up in Alabama & Mississippi, still have family there and in the rest of the deep South states), so I feel like I know them whenever I get a chance to talk to one of them. allthingsezra was created in response to a bunch of teenybopper drama ("omg like kev is sOOOO cute!" wtf?) over in another bte commnuity. I post every newsletter I get from them there to keep the community active, and had originally intended to just talk about whatever ezra thoughts cross my mind no matter how obscure. I also have a few acquaintances here and there that I've met at shows who are rabid about BTE.
Myself, I'm lingering in the remixes on the Greatest Hits. The new version of "Porcelain" is amazing...
