Grady (domestic shorthair) contemplates the rare delicacy that is Teamun (Red-Eared Slider). Teamun contemplates getting my attention so that I may feed him again.
Teamun hasn't been out of his tank much since we moved to Kirkland. In the old place in Northgate (before Grady) we'd let him run around the place every time we cleaned his tank. He'd mosey around until he got bored or tired, then we'd find him in the closet or with his butt sticking out of laundry, fast asleep.
I've been a little concerned with letting him out around Grady. Grady is spooked by him, but Teamun isn't beyond taking a bite out of him if he gets too close.
Teamun likes to sleep in the laundry, too? That's too funny!
I can understand your concern. I'm wary of leaving Bruce and Beaky together when I go out. Since Beaky sometimes gets excited and 'falls to the floor, with style', I've taken to closing the cage up when I leave to dissuade any confrontation between the two of them. Not only would Amy's heart be broken, it would be a darned expensive accident. She way overpaid for this little bundle of feathers. And there's the other angle, too. Bruce's little bulgy eyes are particularly vulnerable to injury.
