new trend in LJ-land

I'm not entirely sold on the twitter-tweety thing. It's everywhere...

This is the most nerdy thing I do

...and its days are numbered.

Garret introduced me to City of Heroes because it was about superheroes, and as someone who grew up on the legends of Superman and Wonder Woman he knew I'd want to check it out. It was an easy way for us to do something together that interested both of us, however questionably. I created my invulnerability tank, Brawler Barbie, as well as a handful of other toons, and my husband and I would log on and spend an hour or two beating up zombies, because I fucking hate zombies and they don't appear after you reach a certain level.

( bla bla bla MMO gamer griping )

I shouldn't worry, because Barbie has weathered worse than the absence of Ken. Since Garret's departure there have been several updates to the game and the powers I've chosen have changed several times. Previously he would have helped me through these changes. Now... I have no clue what I'm doing. I go in, I tease the nazis, they come after me, I beat the snot out of them, and they give me random crap I have no idea what to do with.

So if anyone out there still has this game installed and is still playing it at all, I'd appreciate a little guidance. I want to advance a little and feel like I got my money's worth before I cancel and uninstall altogether.
