I hate Classmates.com
Sunday, 8 October 2006 19:43Someone sent me a message to my classmates.com account. I can't retrieve it because Classmates.com wants me to purchase a subscription just to see who it's from.
It didn't used to be that way -- it used to be that you could read and reply to messages all you wanted, you just weren't able to get any contact information. Since there are much too many easy ways around that they have made it pretty damn impossible to use their service without paying. The only thing you can do for free on classmates.com these days is see which of your teenage drinking buddies managed to figure out how to use the internet. That's just sad.
I suppose I could subscribe to their service for ten measly bucks, but I don't want to. Call me stubborn. I would have paid for the membership if the basic stuff remained free. Meh.
