That's how much it's going to cost to fix the damage a burglar did to my car. They're going to replace most of my dashboard, weld repairs to the passenger door panel, and make it all shiny and new.

The only thing I have left to do is submit the paperwork to have my stereo replaced. Since it's not even a year old (9 months, tops) I still have all the receipts -- including the one for the 4-year warranty Garret felt I needed.

I still don't remember the titles of all 30 CD's that were in the wallet that was stolen. Needless to say I'll know better next time. Any CD's left in my car from here on out will be copies with homemade labels that make them look like self-hypnosis recordings or worse.

My lesson has been learned. I am now fabricating how to make my dashboard extremely unattractive, perhaps by using rubber insects and snakes.
