craft room cleanout
Wednesday, 15 September 2004 23:25I spent an hour or so in my long-neglected craft room cleaning it out for the move. I used to work on my crafts several times a week before moving into this place. It turned out to be too warm for my clays (they'd bake slowly in the heat), so we used the walk-in closet furthest from the window to set up.
While this arrangement worked for my computers at one point in time, it didn't do well for the crafts. I left them alone. My dolls didn't get a lot of attention either.
So I managed to throw out a mess of ruined brushes, clays, half-started projects, and doo-dads to the tune of twenty pounds. It's nowhere near done. I still have boxes of things I collected because I was going to dress them up and a chest of drawers with more supplies and crap in them.
Since my weekends are packed until the first one in October, this is what I'll be doing: Throwing things away. Once I'm done with the craft room, I'll move into the spare bedroom, and then the hobby closets. I'll probably do some packing along the way because I have the forsight to do so. I'll let Garret pack the kitchen. I hate packing the kitchen.
