My gimpy hubby rearranged all the furniture in the living room while I was out shopping. It looks great, and he even vacuumed, but now there's a bunch of stuff in my craft room that needs a home. "You haven't really been using the space, I figured it couldn't hurt." He's right. I really need to get back to my clay and dollies.
I didn't like Happy Family Alan so I re-coiffed one of my old "Shaving Fun Ken" dolls. Poor guy. He needed it: Mattel didn't root any hair on the back of his head, so he looked like a glamorous troll doll once the packaging hair goo got brushed out. I painted the bald spot, trimmed what he had, and now he's a looker. Too bad his arms can't be made over that easily. Alan is fully jointed and can hold the child dolls well. Ken... not so good. I'll post photos later.
Recorded some preliminary tracks over the weekend. Dudes forgot the headphones, so there's a LOT of bleed. I also ended up singing in a higher octave than normal. It didn't hurt, but it sure did limit my tone/tune control. DJ Norml ("yeah, like those damn pot-smoking hippies") said he could correct for it if worse came to worst. I'd rather it didn't get that far. I just need to practice. Otherwise it sounds okay.
My back hurts. My hamstrings are still tight from those straight-legged deadlifts I did over a week ago. I think this is a main contributor to my back pain. Maybe some yoga and Law & Order will help.
