Happy discovery, kinda

fatrockstarI'm scouring the mall for party dresses and can only find any at JCFuckingPenney.
They have little black dresses on sale.
I search the rack and can only find one in a size 16.
There are a few size 14's in there, so I figure "what the heck" and grab about four of those in designs I think I'll like.
Once I get to the fitting room I shimmy into one of the 14's and it fits. Whoa.
Unfortunately, it's not a comfortable fit. I wiggle out of it and thank my lucky stars I didn't pop any stitches. The same happens for the other 14's. Snug fit, no stitches broken.
The 16 was much more comfortable, but I may have to take it in in a couple of places.
So I'm really close to being a 14, even though a 16 is roomy on me. Hooray!
Sunday and/or Monday I plan on hitting downtown's department stores. I hear there's a better chance they'll have party dresses in stock anyway.
