Thursday, 22 July 2004 11:52Garret was listening to the ER nurse a lot better than I was, apparently. The Zithromax I've been taking is supposed to linger in my system for a lot longer than the five-day regimen.
I'm feeling better every day. I took the stairs this morning without thinking and didn't even notice until I had cleared all of them. Come Monday, I'll be a gymrat again. I'm very excited. All I really have to work on that's NOT gym-related is getting to bed at a decent hour.
I still have that stabbing pain in my ear and throat, though. I keep hoping that something I drink will come along and wash whatever it is away, since it doesn't seem to be an infection and is not waning with antibiotic use. Talking doesn't aggravate it, but swallowing does.
Yesterday I didn't eat dinner on time, opting to go to Target instead. MISTAKE! The food/snack section is on the way to the toy department, and along the way I bought two bags of cookies and a box of Celebrations candies, managing to nearly kill an entire bag of cookies before I got back to my car. George Carlin once asked "have you ever eaten a whole goddamn box of cookies?" Well, NOW I have. Yuck. I won't be doing THAT again anytime soon. Rather than return the second bag I gave it to Garret (who has no qualms whatsoever about eating a whole goddamn box of cookies). @#!! Target and their 2 for $4 deals...
I can't wait to get back to my routine. There are too many gold star-less days on my calendar. I am counting each one until that changes.
