Forwarded to me
Tuesday, 9 March 2004 23:09Hello fellow music lovers! This e-mail is blatant self-promotion as well as a way to get your music heard. I am so excited right now, that I'm not really sure where to begin...
I was chosen along with several other people to be the hosts of a new music video television show that will air on PAX network starting in May. The show, 'Your Music Network, The Independent Experience', gives independent artists and labels a platform for their music. Videos will be shown both on the show and on the Internet at http://www.yourmusicnetwork.net/, plus you will be able to vote for and buy your favorites from the website.
I can't begin to tell you what an awesome opportunity this is for me and for independent artists around the world. I'm telling you this because I need your help. Here's what I need:
1. If you are an artist or know of an artist, have them send their music in for the show and website and tell them I referred you. You can find information on where to send it at http://www.yourmusicnetwork.net/. (The website right now is only for submission information, it will launch with the television show.) Please feel free to forward this to anyone who might be interested.
2. If you love music, please watch the show. Our tentative launch date is May 1st at 5pm and plays every week in that time slot. The show will launch NATIONWIDE in 214 markets. That translates to 92 million households! Please tell everyone you know to watch the show. The more popular it is, the better. We want independent artist to have an amazing platform for showcasing their talent!
I have attached a flyer that tells you more about Your Music Network, The Independent Experience. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Thank you all for your support.

Hokay... I don't know what to think about this, primarily because of the affiliation with PAX. From my understanding, the PAX network is a Christian family network. Closer look at the network's website makes no mention of Christianity unless you go to the network store or read the founder's executive bio. As much as I'd love the exposure... I dunno. What do you think?
