I told the vet today that I wasn't going to be concerned about regular behavior until the heat died down. For now, just keeping food down is my goal.
This area has been known for its mild weather for over a century, so none of the houses are equipped for the extremes of 90+ degree weather. The good news is that my furnace is a/c ready should I decide to install it. The bad news is I can't afford to do that.
Fans and portable a/c units are scarce right now -- my officemate's neighbor drove over two hours to Yakima to buy one (the houses in Eastern WA are all a/c-equipped).
