I believe that in many states if you and your spouse haven't been cohabitating for over a year, you can file for divorce on the grounds of "abandonment" and they do not have to appear or do anything except not contest the divorce for it to be granted.
Also, you need to get out and do fun things more - it's a pity that you're on the other side of the continent, I've finally started being out and about again and it gets challenging breaking into new social circles.
