Grady and I had an awesome evening in front of the television. I have no idea if it was TiVo or Cartoon Network who had the bright idea to show Spiderman instead of Total Drama Island, but it pissed me off to sit down and expect to see a new episode only to have Tobey Maguire's nerdy mug staring at me. I've already missed the original airing, and now the re-broadcast. If I'm lucky, the listing on the TiVo for next week will actually be accurate.

And no, the "That's Off the Chain" episode is not on the website. Yet. The week before is there, but I've seen that three times already.

Meh.

But television... Grady and I watched some "fix up your home to sell it" shows. It gave me a couple of ideas for this place. I might be able to afford it after all.

BUT

At last month's PAX I ended up needing a jump-start after leaving my cabin light on all day, and on my way home I noticed a whine coming from under the hood. I figured it was a belt but couldn't determine how that would be related to my battery dying. I don't drive much, so I figured I had time.

Time ran out today -- my battery light came on on my way home from shopping, and I noticed my voltage meter was hovering below its normal number. Shit. I called my dad, and he confirmed my suspicions. "Is it something I can fix on my own or do I need to get a mechanic?" "You'll need to look it up. A '94 Chevy truck could go either way, and you don't want to lose a finger." True that.

So the next time I drive it will be to a mechanic. I can't afford to have this fixed, to be honest. Oh well.

Let's hope nothing catches on fire or falls apart before I can get a couple of paychecks in the bank, shall we?
