*sigh* MySpace

MySpace has three privacy settings for profiles:

Public
18+ only
Private (friends only)

Mine is set to 18+ only because they insist on displaying my "correct" age after insisting that by citing my age as 99 I am attempting to deceive minors and lure them into unscrupulous acts. As a 99 year old.

Thing is, setting my profile to 18+ does the exact same thing Private does -- I have to add you as a friend in order for you to see anything I've posted there. I wrote to MySpace regarding this issue and they sent me a stock copypasta response. I replied and attempted to clarify my question. No new responses yet. I see this as a bug -- when set at 18+ my profile should be available to all logged in users that have verified their age as over 18, including the ones I have not added as a friend.

I fucking hate MySpace, I really do. It's hard to avoid as a musician, though. Pretty soon here I'll have to replace my personal page with a professional music profile. At least with that change I won't have to deal with the age bullshit. If I could hide that info on my profile there, I would.
