Saturday, 4 July 2009 17:58I am bored and overheated. Grady is bored and overheated. I have a movie to watch but I am just wanting to lie in a tub of icewater and let the evening pass.
My neighbors have already begun their fireworks. Many of them sound like gunfire. It's unsettling, probably more than the sound of branches cracking in the windstorm of '06.
Earlier today I discovered a LiveJournal user that I had been following casually over the last few years passed away on Friday. I don't know why I was stunned by this, I mean, she was putting up a good fight against her cancer -- maybe there were a bunch of posts I didn't have access to. I am saddened by her passing.
Anyway... I'm really uncomfortable right now, and everyone is out and away from their computer setting off explosives and eating hamburgers while drinking beer. I don't want to go outside. It's probably even hotter out there.
