Dear Grady,
I realize your little brain does not understand English and that things have been really strange these last few months. I am sorry. We are doing our best to maintain your feeding and sleeping schedule so you are stressed as little as possible. I hope we are doing a good job.
Have you noticed that I am making a better effort to play with you in the evenings? I would love to get you a new toy but it seems like you are enjoying Feathers-on-a-Stick and Flannel-Strip-on-a-Stick just fine. Watching you play, even when you are just tearing up the hallway in an imaginary race, is very comforting to me. I hope you continue to do that for many years to come.
I will always be around to give you skritches on your chin and a warm lap to sit on. Conversations with you, albeit one-sided, are the highlight of my day. For some reason I always know what you're saying even though I don't understand it. Thank you for not being the kind of kitty that jumps up on kitchen and bathroom counters, or on the table. I could really do without the underfoot thing when my arms are full of groceries, but that's neither here nor there - I just hate the sound of me squishing you, it breaks my heart.
Things will turn out okay at home. They may not turn out the way we want them to, but they will be okay. I promise.
Love,
Wynne
