Hello, this is my moment to be sappy and emotional. Try not to poop on it.

So if you were recently widowed after retiring from a lucrative (yet controversial) career with an active toddler and a baby on the way, would you be able to keep a cool head once labor kicked in? My answer would be "no." The answer for former adult film star Asia Carrera turned out to be "yes."

I couldn't read all the comments at ONTD because there were too many thoughtless stupid teenyboppers talking trash. They've never heard of Asia Carrera. They don't know how smart she is, or what led to her porn career. They've never talked to her on her website's chat room. I was disgusted. There was a lot of speculation regarding her husband's death, why it was not publicized, and why she was asking for donations on her website. I was curious myself and did some digging.

I won't go into details on what I found, but it broke my heart. Theirs was a love story you only read about, really. Maybe I'm just being emotional, or I'm a closet romantic -- I don't know. If only I could have found that kind of soul mate. Garret's alright, but he's a lump, and even he would deny being "soul mates."

Anyway, I'm trying to pull myself together after reading the bulletins on Asia's page. I became a fan long before screening any of her movies simply because of her strength, intelligence, and tenacity. She's pretty funny, too. Did you know she's a member of MENSA? I thought that was pretty interesting when I learned it. Oh lordy, I just want to give her a big hug...

So I'm going to stop being a sappy dork for now and do some research.
