The first time B muttered (and I do mean muttered) those words, he was drunk and almost passed out. I thought I hadn't heard him right so I poked him and said, "What?" He promptly and very conveniently passed over into unconsciousness.
G flipped me off while yelling his L-bomb. I was in too much shock for a minute there as we stared at each other in uncomfortable silence. "Well, uh, I love you too Bunny," I said eventually. The rest is history.
