Breakthrough!
Last night Grady ate an entire plate of wet food. When I say an entire plate, I mean about two tablespoons. After that I was making tuna salad and he came to beg me for tuna. I gave him a small chunk and he ate that right up. This morning I could see more of the bottom of his kibble dish than I'd seen in ages.
I am keeping my fingers crossed that this surge in appetite is due to the appetite stimulant the doctors prescribed for him because I don't remember giving it to him that morning. He ate throughout the night, which is good. This morning I tube-fed him about half of what I normally do in order to get meds into him.
This is very encouraging. Maybe next week we can get that tube removed!
See, I knew this would happen the minute I stocked up on prescription food for the week.
