Skype is the wave of the future. Oh, and I love my webcam. Please don't ask me to disrobe while I'm on it -- I will cut you.

I am not putting up a Christmas tree this year. If I have my way, I will never put up another one again in my lifetime.

Brought to you by LoudTwitter and Powder Milk Biscuits (Heavens! They're tasty and expeditious).

Disrobe before going on cam then. Duh!

I'm putting up my tree next week. It's two pieces and has lights on it already. How convenient!

But the internet is forever! The closest I've become to disrobed online is sending a friend of mine a picture I turned into line art.

Grady eats plastic trees and real ones are a pain. I should probably just drape a green sheet over my easel and tie my pikachu plushie to the top of it. He looks kinda like a star...

I don't want to think about the reason for your Webcam... definetly not thinking about it.

I'm making with the sign language! I promise! It's Grady doing the lion's share of posturing online. I forbid him from creating a Facebook page.

Probly in my sickness state, misready what you initially posted about having a webcam, somehow understood it as "Please don't ask me why I have a webcam or I'll cut you", which implied something far worse.

LOL
Yeah, I can see why you'd want to back away slowly from that...

We have a table-top tree - soooo much nicer!

[identity profile] winifred.livejournal.com 2008-11-19 05:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I didn't have a tree last year, either. I am a Scrooge.

[identity profile] dianthus.livejournal.com 2008-11-19 06:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I never have room for one :-( and my friends that have one have a plastic tabletop one, which I don't consider a real tree. A real tree needs to be trimmed down so that the angel (or star) isn't jammed against the ceiling.

If I want one, I will go to the party store and buy a cutout I can stick on my wall. I can't get into the spirit of Christmas anyway. It's a children's holiday.

I was writing this long reply about how many ways Christmas is disappointing to me now, and it just got really depressing.

I still like eggnog lattes, though. Possibly because they're an experience that isn't from my childhood, so I'm not primed to expect more from it.

I would like to get away from the whole "Christmas is all about presents" thing. My dad was pretty good at making gift giving a guaranteed disappointment, and Garret seemed to put way too much emphasis on making out like a bandit every year.

I got the most out of Christmas the year I made a point of buying a bunch of gifts for charity. Those giving trees are great.

I can't wait for a webcam to enter my life. It'll happen, if not at Christmas, then immediately after when I go buy myself one.

Then we can chat and get nakies on the internets together!

[identity profile] winifred.livejournal.com 2008-11-19 07:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Yay! A nakie party!

What kind do you have. I never saw the need for one until my sister sent me an old one... the picture is so bad that it's not even really worth using but now I actually want one - especially on skype - since i can see her and my little nephew... i want them to be ableto see me more clearly too.

I am using a Logitech QuickCam Communicate MP. It runs around $40. I am amazed at the picture quality (1.3 megapixel) compared to other cameras and it's pretty easy to use. At the time I thought it was too much money, but now I realize it's worth every penny.
