Is it just me, or were McCain's supporters really fucking rude during his concession speech? Seriously, I think he deserves better than that. No wonder the Republicans are losing ground -- they can't even be nice to each other.

No, they were being assholes all right. Even after McCain told them to cool it during his very classy speech.

And is it me, or did McCain's speech sound like he really didn't want the job after all and he was kind of relieved that he lost?

Yeah, I think he was tired of it a few days ago, but it was a little too late to give up since he'd come so far. He'll never admit it, but I think Palin might have spooked him a little once she got goin' there.
